Idiosyncratic Entity – Selcouth
Hello and how nice of you to visit my section! I run by the name of Selcouth in this AniBlog. I post things related to what my interests are and sharing it with everyone who does have similar tastes. Introductions aren’t really my thing, but it’s one of the ways that you’ll get to know me,no? First of all, the word Selcouth defines my personality as I am a little weird at times. As for why I dub my domain as Idiosyncratic Entity is also the resemblance of myself which, again means that I am what you would call random at times. Enough with the personal views on this! Here’s a little insight into what I fancy.

Ah, Mio Akiyama illustated by Coffee Kizoku Sure is a pleasant one..

I.S Characters Cecilia Alcott and Shinonono Houki respectively

What can I say?

And another Coffee Kizoku Artwork

Cute

DFCs and Twintails are simply great,no?
I have tons more to show, however I leave that for my future posts. A little more insight on what I fancy, I guess? Here we go!
I do have a certain fondness of artworks, which brings forward my list of favorite Mangakas (Or Artists). My personal favourites from different Mangakas(artists) are like the examples above, notably the ones from redjuice, Tony Taka and Coffee Kizoku. As for my favourite animes, they come in a variety of music based ones to to harems to pure romance and the like with My favourite characters being Mio Akiyama and Shinonono Houki. Oh how I love the two. My reason for this was because of K-On’s Mio Akiyama and her powerful voice (CV:Yoko Hikasa) as well as her ability to play the bass, a personal favourite of mine for an instrument. Basically I like girls with long hair or most who are voiced by Yoko Hikasa (I may be a little biased on this). As for Houki, she’s just what I want in a girl, pretty, tsundere and everything else I see in her. Oh yes, how could I forget Seraphim from Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka? I am no masochist but I seem to take a liking to her as well. Again, coincidentally, she’s voiced by Yoko Hikasa. That obviously makes Yoko Hikasa my favourite Seiyuu (or Voice Actress) ever since I entered the otaku community.
On to my music tastes, my favourite band’s Supercell, particularly with Ryo as the composer . Most of the songs were to my liking, which became an instant hit for me when I first heard of them through Bakemonogatari (couldn’t stand the effects of the anime, though). The one above was what probably got me hooked to their songs with Nagi singing the vocals. ^.^ Still, it’s pretty hard to believe Supercell was formerly a doujin group that raised to stardom with the use of Vocaloid Hatsune Miku for their debut album. All in all a great band that leaves certain western artistes in the dust with drums, guitars, bass, violins raising the bar in Jap music.
Well I do of course, have a taste in certain western music, consisting mostly Indie and Punk Rock like Simple Plan, Sum 41, and Matchbox 20. Ultimately Matchbox 20 has been my all-time favourite with their greatest hits like “How Far We’ve Come” And ” “Bright Lights (See above video)”. Well due to the fact that western pop now has changed with constant use of synthesizers, auto-tune and the like, my taste in western music has totally dipped. The reason being that there is less use of instruments such as drums, guitar and bass now, which totally puts me off. Though my love for Matchbox 20 never faltered as I literally grew up listening to their songs.
