Are you scared of the dark?
Have you ever been so spooked out by a dark passageway you ran down it to get into a lot area? Or have you ever walked down a dark road, covered in dry leaves and have the extreme paranoia that something or someone is following you when you hear leaves cracking behind you?
That is the human emotion of fear, a survival mechanism built into us (and most animals too) to safeguard our sorry arses when we’re in the middle of a s**tstorm.
For today’s post, I will be having the usual “surgical” dissection of a topic with brute force ideology and for today, we have the topic of “The compelling power of Fear” and I will be referencing Tasogare Otome X Amnesia.
There will be many various posts in the near future where I speak of various aspects of Tasogare and similar manga/anime (like Sankarea).
Warning: Spoilers for Tasogare. And pic spam
Appeal of Chaotic Good and Tragic Heroes
Welcome to my first post in a looooooooooooooooooooooong time!! Cyborg’s back ladies, and he’s bringing a post that has been in the works for almost a month now! Enjoy!
When I first thought of this title, my first thoughts were “Oh damn, this sounds kinda prat-ty”, mostly because I am Chaotic Good (Or so I think I am from all the survey’s I’ve read and the material I’ve read). But of course, being me, I said “f**k it” and ran with the title. It is the most apt for this post after all.
To answer some confusions that are no doubt arising amongst some, Chaotic Good is one of the nine alignments of human personality. This website is rather useful in giving information about the alignments as well as providing a handy quiz to find out your own alignment. In order to sum this up if you’re too lazy to read the webpage, I will sum up Chaotic Good for you. Pretty much it’s :”F**k it, let’s do good and f**k all.”
That means Chaotic Good aims to do the ultimate good (as per described by their own perceptions due to Chaotic Good’s individuality) no matter the means of which it is achieved. If he has to carry out evil to attain his goal, it shall be done as the ends justifies the means. Also, Chaotic Good would despise all evil and would do anything to hamper evil.
(Warning, spoilers a-plenty for Fate Zero season 2 and various other manga/anime)
Why Anime?
First thing first, I know that there have been several posts about this already floating around, but it seems like something really interesting to talk about and for the fact that I already had plans to do this post in my To-Do list but I just never got the time. So anywhat, Why Anime?
Anime To Real Life?
Sorry for the premature posting that cheated several of you of your feelings, my WordPress App for my phone is rather trollish. A rather contreversial question that I chose, both sides do have their strong points and I will do this in the most impartial random way that I can.
The physics of the Third Wheel
Once again, this is another one of those post I have hoarded up for when I reach a dry spell. But this one could be pretty interesting (I hope).
The reason behind this post is simple enough. A couple of months back, I read a manga called GirlXGirlXBoy. I’m not sure if it’s popular or well-known but I definitely liked it. And a couple of weeks ago, another manga I was reading, Kimo Koi Limit, ended. And these two manga have 1 thing in common (well, 2 actually. They’re both generally Yuri). They both had a “third wheel” character that aided the progress of the main couple’s relationship. And I have always pitied this one poor person.
The REAL long awaited post – Why I love Yuri
Sooo, for those that managed to catch my April’s Fool joke previously, ha! I now present to you the real post.
I’m joking about the title of course. Well….not that much. I’ve been intending to write this post for such a long time now. Pretty much ever since I got into Yuri and people (who know about my anime watching/manga reading habits) asking me why I loved it, I’ve been intending to write this.
First of all, I should give a short introduction of sorts on how I even got into Yuri. And actually, this is the exact same story on how I discovered the wonders of 2D since I found that out through Yuri. So yeah, Yuri is rather important to me. (That sounds rather…strange…)
And that’s all folks!! (Black Rock Shooter episodic: Episode 8 – Finale)
I almost stayed up till early in the morning to wait for the episode to air until I remembered it’ll be in Japanese anyway so it’ll be useless. I was really looking forward to it. Thank goodness today is a E-learning day for my school (When we stay at home and do worksheets the teachers email to us) so I had time to watch Black Rock Shooter and the other anime that ends today, Guilty Crown.
Of the two, I really can’t pick which I’m more upset over due to the fact they’ve ended. But Black Rock Shooter’s ending was slightly better than Guilty Crown’s in my opinion.
So now, let the final episodic begin.
All is apparent (Black Rock Shooter Episodic: Episode 7)
Well, a delightful fruit on Twitter informed me that this episode would be intense and damn; was she right. That was such an enjoyable episode. Finally, most of our doubts are cleared and the main basis for the entire story laid out clearly.
This delightful episode starts of with Mato thinking about why she likes the Li’l Bird Li’l Bird Colorful Colours. Although the story does not have a happy ending, she wonders why she still likes it so much.
GO! GO! MANIAC! (InuxBoku Episode 9 Review)
What a title for this episode. “Day of the Promise”, it makes this episode sound so serious and like somebody died or something. But then, it’s just a day to drink coffee with Miketsukami.
This episode has weird scenes in it does it not?
