It Disappointed Me, What can I say? (Senki Zesshou Symphogear Dropped)

Ok guys, for those of you who enjoyed Symphogear, I am terribly sorry. I did not enjoy it as much as I would expect to and the show does not seem to hold my interest. The first episode was so, so well done. After that it kind of went downhill a lot.

A head-start, but none of the pictures have anything to do with the post

I will continue to watch it so if it does pick up, I will continue to blog. But until then, I will drop blogging it for the time being. And now for the first time, a negative post by me.

It’s not fruit related (Appleseed and Appleseed Ex Machina review)

Even Santa needs backup at times

Both the Appleseed movies have been on my To-Watch list for a while now and in fact, I had downloaded them quite a while ago as well. Of course it was only when I started watching at my friends house with SleepySlacker that I found out I downloaded the Blu-Ray versions but that hardly matters. They were still two of the coolest movies I’ve ever seen.

Appleseed and it’s sequel focus on Deunan Knute and her cyborg boyfriend, Briareos. In the future, a race of cloned humans with repressed emotions and reproductive capabilities known as Biorods exist amongst humans. The main plot of the first movie was to find a way to “save” the Bioriods as the renegade head of the Miliatary in Olympus (The city where the movies take place) destroys the facilities to prolong the Bioroids reduced lifespans as well as to create them. A device known as the Appleseed contains the information gives the Bioroids the ability to reproduce but the objectives of the Council that leads the city aren’t as simple as they seem.

The sequel’s main plot is around a madman’s plot to fully integrate humanity and Bioroids to ensure complete peace through any means necessary. His intention is to weed out those that oppose his plan and to induct the population under his control with Mind-controlling devices. So Deunan and Briareos have to embark on a journey to prevent the plan from going through as they are the only ones who know of the full scope of it’s intentions.

A really cool piece of art I found

To sum it up, Appleseed is about Mechas, guns, girls and cyborgs (my kinsmen!!!). What’s not to like?

Yin and Yang (Guilty Crown Episodic – Episodes 7 and 8)

I’m very sure we all know the feedback of Guilty Crown by quite some people, that it’s a bad show and a rip-off of other shows. It’s argued that the plot is poor, the character’s lacking depth and that it takes loads of elements from other animes. It’s as if Guilty Crown’s only redeeming factor is the fact that it looks good.

I’ll actually like to give my opinion on that by referring to another anime, Infinite Stratos. Let’s see. Both of them didn’t have a great plot. The characters were also not built up well and shallow at times. But it still looked really good with its CG. In these ways, Guilty Crown and Infinite Stratos are similar in my opinion. I know that they’re both pretty bad compared to most of the other animes that were aired at the same time during that season but I watched it anyways. Because it was enjoyable.

A touch of Awesome, a bunch of Meh (Guilty Crown Episodic – Episodes 5 and 6)

C'mon, you can't dislike the pic

Yes, I’m still watching Guilty Crown. I do know it is pretty crappy at times but hey, the awesome bits kinda off-sets those bits. And it’s still entertaining.

Well, Episode 5 was a bit cliched but I still enjoyed it. I was going to write a post right after Ep5 to discuss something but I didn’t in the end.

So previously in Ep4, we see Shu decided to go along with Gai to join the merry ranks of Funeral Parlor. So in Ep5, Funeral parlor now attempts to train the weak Shu to become a field operative and he’s put under Ayase’s care. The bits immediately after those show Shu in training and generally not doing a whole lot right. But the most interesting bit comes after. Whilst walking through the compound that Funeral Parlor uses as a base, he comes across Inori, sitting on a balcony, looking out the windows. Of course, he decides to talk to her (It’s pretty obvious he likes her, right?) where he asks her reason why she joined Funeral Parlor.

Can't run for shit

Can't shoot for shit

Couldn't lift a big gun. For shit

Redemption!!! (Guilty Crown Episodic – Episodes 3 and 4)

A lil epic scenery pic instead of Yuri for today

Well, this took long enough to write. Episode 4 has been out for like, 5 days? Minimum? I apologize but I finally received my copy of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 a day ago so I’ve pretty much spent all my time playing it and not doing anything else.

If you did not know this post would contain loads of spoilers, you aren’t very bright; my friend.
