I talk about why I dropped Chuunibyou and why I disliked it.
I also attempt to talk about the thought processes behind “likes” and “dislikes” in a half-arsed way.
Want to watch me fumble about at logic? Watch this!
Well I haven’t posted in a while so I had a thought on making a review on this particular anime on a whim, since I’m not privileged with time nowadays. Indeed we have seen familiar anime titles commonly adapted from Visual Novels and based on that fact, I’m here to again, share a particular Visual Novel Adapted Anime of which popular titles like Clannad, Da Capo and Amagami SS cemented their success in the production line. Romance? Absolutely Present. Slice Of Life? Totally.
Watch out, this show is on super high hnnnnnnnnnngggghhh alert.
Probably one of my most anticipated shows of the previous anime seasons (then again, I was looking forward to a lot of shows. Fate Zero and Last Exile Fam of Silver Wing to name a few), Tamayura Hitotose encompasses the story of Fu Sawatari as she moves back to her home town the unfortunate passing of her father. There, she meets with her old childhood friends and slowly comes back to terms with herself and her love for photography which she got from her father.
To summarize it, it’s a touching story of friendship, overcoming odds and grievances as well as enjoying life to the fullest. In other words, the perfect cure to a depressing day. I could never remain depressed after an episode. Personally, I think it’s humanely impossible to still be pissed after an ep. Unless of course, you weren’t paying attention to it.
To build context for this post and for the next few by me that will follow this, recently, I’ve been running out of ideas on what to post. It’s not that I have nothing original, it’s that I know that such ideas won’t have substantial content to publish a post with. And some ideas are just really random but things I would like to do, but preferably not on WordPress due to lack of some tools. Hence, I thought “why not review anime?” There are a few series that I haven’t reviewd that I greatly enjoyed, particularly those that ended recently. Hence forth, this is the first of a short binge of anime review posting.
Undoubtedly one of my favourite anime of all time, Usagi Drop really left a deep impression on me long after I finished watching it. I picked up the show only after 4 episodes had aired as I actually wasn’t really forward to it. As usual, I picked it up on a whim one day when I was bored and began watching.
From the first episode, I was absolutely captivated by it. The plot, the art and the feelings the show gave enraptured me and I watched the next 3 episodes immediately, forgetting about my work (I got scolded for that the next day of course). From then on, I would eagerly await the next episode. I couldn’t get enough.
Now it’s rare for me to do an episodic, but I guess doing episodics on this anime series will be an exception, since it’s new and ongoing. To be honest, I find the previous OP and ED much more to my liking, but I won’t take anything away from the new ones. They were still good for the new OP but somehow I do find the ED a little weird (well the show is weird anyway). WARNING THERE ARE SOME PICS WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT TURN YOU ON. Ladies and Gentleman!! Boys and Girls!!! I’m proud to introduce our newest writer whom we have managed to con to writing on our blog, AhmFaris27!!!! Me and Sleepy met this chap on the wonderful social network that is Twitter (Here’s his account ^.^) and decided we liked him and hence, got our devious plan to recruit him in place. And like a sucker, he fell for it, hook, like and sinker. So please, try not to murder him on his first post. It is his first after all. Play nice now~
I know it’s a little old seeing a anime such as this one,but I’d figured that I might as well have a review of one as some probably may have not heard about it.This show is quite unique as it’s one of the only romance animes that features arcs for several characters which gained much fame than other titles such as Yosuga No Sora, which had plenty of incest between the brother and the sister(Not a nice anime,in my opinion).
This post is loooooooooooooooooooooooooong overdue. Believe me. Me and SleepySlacker completed this show almost a month ago and I only just got around to writing my half of the post. So lets pretend that you’ve magically been sent back a month in time and continue the post.
Hanasaku Iroha has been on my “Plan to Watch” list in MAL for quite a bit of time already. I decided to watch this show from my stalking around on Twitter. At that time, Hanasaku Iroha was airing and quite a lot of people were tweeting about it. But I decided not to start yet for 2 reasons. Firstly, it was already in episode 12 at that point in time and also because I’m simply f*^&$#g lazy.
